What is JEE (Joint Entrance Examination)?

There are different types of entrance exams. Students do not know much about their careers after passing the 12th grade. However, there are several exams at the state level for admission in engineering. JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is one of the national-level examinations held every year. The JEE Entrance Exam is the medium for access to various undergraduate, postgraduate and professional degree courses. It is owned in 2 stages- JEE Pre and JEE Mains.

 

Eligibility Criteria for JEE (UG) 

 

The eligibility criteria for JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) include:

  • Students should be of age 17.
  • Candidates appearing for JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) should be Indian Nationals.
  • Candidates who have completed or are appearing 10+2 or equivalent can appear.
  • If you are studying in the 12th, you can take the JEE mains exam for three years. This exam is held twice a year. In this way, you can appear for this exam six times.
  • Students who want to apply for the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) exam should study Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and English.
  • Candidates sitting for the exam must secure at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths combined in the 10+2 qualifying exam.

NTA sets the syllabus for JEE (UG) examination. It comprises Physics, Chemistry, and Maths.

  1. JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is an online mode exam.
  2. There are 90 questions in this exam, 30-30 questions from physics, chemistry, maths.
  3. A total of 360 marks questions will be asked in this paper.
  4. All questions are of the objective type. Negative marking is there for every wrong answer. One-fourth of the number is deducted for each wrong answer.

  2. Fill in all the mandatory fields.
  3. After scanning them properly, upload all the essential documents.
  4. To complete, pay the application fees.
